HOW TO RECRUIT THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE JOB?
Put about 100 bricks in some particular order in a closed room with an Open window.
Then send 2 or 3 candidates into the room and close the door.
Leave them alone and come back after 6 hours and then analyze the situation.
If they are counting the Bricks.
Put them in the accounts Department .
If they are recounting them..
Put them in auditing ..
If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks.
Put them in engineering .
If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order.
Put them in planning .
If they are throwing the bricks at each other.
Put them in operations .
If they are sleeping.
Put them in security .
If they have broken the bricks into pieces.
Put them in information Technology .
If they are sitting idle.
Put them in human resources .
If they say they have tried different combinations, yet not a brick has been moved.
Put them in sales.
If they have already left for the day.
Put them in marketing .
If they are staring out of the Window.
Put them on strategic Planning.
And then last but not least.
If they are talking to each other and not a single brick has been moved...
Congratulate them and put them in Top Management!

當金融風暴來襲,許多企業、工廠或公司紛紛倒閉,失業人數節節攀升,同時,許多人也面臨遭減薪或強制性減少工作時數,此時,“低投資、零風險、高報酬”的直銷業悄悄逆市成長。
去年,大馬直銷業更擠入全球前10名行列,這股勢力蓄意待發,不容忽視。
賀寶芙南亞副總裁兼董事經理拿督陳保發指出,經濟危機為直銷業帶來契機。
陳保發接受訪問時表示,經濟風暴為直銷業帶來更多商機,即使經濟寒冬,越多人加入這個行業,大馬直銷業也呈按年增長的趨勢。
提供額外收入
“許多受到嚴重衝擊的企業,強制員工減少工作時數或天數,人們正好可利用這個機會從事直銷事業,在突然多出的時間召開組織會議、銷售產品或家庭派對。
這不但不會影響個人的正職,反而提供額外收入。”
他披露,目前,大馬直銷業的市值約80億令吉,多達750家直銷公司,其中75至80%涉及家庭用品、護膚產品或保健食品。
“人民近年開始注重養生,崇尚健康的生活品質,以保健食品為主的傳銷產業仍有很大的成長空間。”
他預計,在大馬人口數量的支撐下,高品質產品將取得很大的增長空間,未來5年,直銷業將大幅成長。
直銷業是一個長期事業,講究團隊精神、領導能力及專業知識,須投入大量的精神與時間。
須對產品有信心
陳保發指出,要成為一名成功的經銷商,首要條件是必須對產品有信心。
“你必須親身使用產品,成為產品代言人,惟有如此才會對產品產生信心,進而推銷給他人。”
另外,他認為,經銷商應無時無刻自我提昇,透過閱讀一些激勵書籍增加知識,並且積極參與研討會、組織會議、成功培訓講座、主管工作坊或國內外活動,以增強實力。
最後,應設法招募更多人以擴大團隊,從團隊產生的銷售力量享受高額的收入。
近年,許多直銷業者改變銷售策略,以多重通路銷售產品,最常見的是設立專柜門市。
陳保發認為這也許是一種創意的銷售方式,但最終或許會失敗。
應回歸傳統方法
他認為直銷應該回歸到傳統方法,即“人與人”或“面對面”的傳銷,與客戶分享使用產品經驗及提供服務。
“美國是直銷業的龍頭,他們也正進行同樣的動作,那就是談產品。”
慎選免落“老鼠會”
傳銷事業雖可幫助人們抵抗經濟寒冬,但欲加入此行業者必須慎選,免落入以獵人頭方式不當吸金的陷阱,俗稱“老鼠會”。
“老鼠會”與多層次傳銷都是以金字塔形的組織架構運作,依靠建構旗下網路(下線)獲利。
多層次傳銷除了靠銷售產品賺取利潤,也自己招募並培訓其他直銷員(下線)。
同時,公司也自行提供教育訓練、激勵、軟硬體設備等,目前世界多數直銷公司都採用這種方式。
“老鼠會”則由一些不良業者仿效多層次傳銷架構,向入會者收取高昂入會費,以獵人頭的方式,往組織上層躍升獲利,而非依靠銷售商品。
陳保發指出,“老鼠會”實屬非法,自大馬政府提出《1993年直銷法令》就已銷聲滅跡,此法令規定任何直銷公司的入會費不得超過100令吉,保障消費者。
“政府在抑止老鼠會已作出最大努力,現在則應該由直銷公司,負責教育經銷商或社會大眾,如何辨認合法直銷公司與老鼠會的差別。”
賀寶芙巡迴展創佳績
賀寶芙以代餐減重著稱,透過設立營養俱樂部及舉辦巡迴展方式,在大馬直銷業創下佳績。
公司南亞區副總裁兼董事經理陳保發表示,他們在國內各城市舉辦巡迴展,與消費者直接接觸,獲得很大迴響。目前公司60%業務圍繞在巴生河流域,希望能將觸角延伸至各城市。
在巡迴展上,他們要求群眾進行簡單的民意調查,而並非推銷產品,這無形中達到宣傳公司品牌之效果,也藉由設立營養俱樂部,輕易滲透消費群。
另外,他提及公司2008年的營業額為2億3000萬令吉,今年首季營業額也大幅增長。目前,賀寶芙在大馬有4萬名直銷商,全球客戶涵蓋19億人。
